Dearest Lily, Although you came late into our lives, your warmth and beautiful smile was immediately evident. We will be forever grateful that you and John raised your daughter Claire to be a wonderful person, and so thankful that she became our daughter-in-law. We have been left with two treasured memories of you. How happy you were at Claire's wedding, dancing the night away with John. Spending Christmas Day 2022 with you, watching the delight on your face as you opened your many presents. Sleep well Dear Lily

nan well what can i say you was a fantastic nan best nan anyone could of asked for you always made me laugh i remember the fun times in your garden from making things to you soaking us with the hose pipe while grandad was at work there so much more i could say about you miss you so much nan love you forever and always xx

Dear Mum, there is great pain and sadness from the day you had to leave us. Mum you topped them all, you was more than one in a million. You was a precious lady to us all, and I will deeply miss you everyday but in my heart you will always stay. From me being young to a grown up, becoming a wife and a mum to your two grandchildren, Adam and Sarah, you was still always there if I needed advice and guidance with anything. I have special memories of you taking me, Julie and Claire to the cattle market on a Friday to see the animals and stopping off at the Wimpy Bar or cake shop, as you always made sure we had a little treat. There was times when you made us some rose perfume from the roses in the garden and told us to keep it quiet from Dad, but he always knew when they had been picked at. You was the Queen of Puddings, from making Jam Roly Poly to the delicious Spotted Dick Pudding with golden syrup which was my favourite. I still can’t manage to make it like yours because it was the best. You could put your hands to anything, whether it be sewing, knitting, or making jewellery, and showing us girls how to do it. Your patience was a virtue. You was the most loving, understanding and inspiring family orientated lady, always putting us first. The most beautiful soul anyone could meet. To the world you were one person, but to ME you were the world. You taught me how to read and write and live life to the fullest, you praised me when I did good and pointed out my mistakes in a kind and gentle way. I still remember your voice as you read bedtime stories to us girls, ending with “non-night, God Bless, see you in the morning.” Mum you were the truest and dearest and more than a mother to me. The last three years you may have been in your own little world when you was diagnosed with dementia, but in your own special way you still managed to make the four important people in your life smile and laugh. There was so much beauty and grace in you and all what you did, and that’s what touched so many peoples hearts in so many ways. Not a day goes by that I do not have a tear in my eye as I miss you so much. I would do anything to talk to you one more time and put my arms around you and have a hug and place a kiss on your soft cheek. I know you will be watching over me, Dad, Julie, Claire and not forgetting Fleur, day and night until we meet again at the rainbows end. All that’s left to say is I will always love you and you will forever be in my heart. Non-night my beautiful Mum, sleep tight ❤️
